Lung cancer, warning signs
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. Smoker or non-smoker, everyone is at risk, which is why you should pay attention to the songs that your body shows you.
Here are 5 early warning signs that lung cancer is growing in your body:
- raspy voice
If you notice that your voice has become deeper and rougher, and if these changes persist for more than two weeks, see your doctor. Lung cancer can compress the nerve that controls the larynx.
- Constant cough
A common cough can last up to two weeks. If you are still coughing for more than a month, see your doctor.
- Unexplained weight loss
Sudden weight loss could be a sign of a serious problem and indicate lung cancer.
- Abnormal breathing
Experiencing difficulty breathing or shortness of breath may indicate a serious problem. People with allergies have shortness of breath, but if you don’t have any allergies or a cold, see a doctor.
- Back pain
Pain deep in the joints and bones that worsens during sleep can be a sign of lung cancer. Check it out with your doctor.
